In this context, the latest development are suggesting that even Hyderabad city has been put on high alert along with multiple other states, including Maharashtra and Kerala.
Hyderabad city Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar issued a communique to this effect. He pointed out that citizens might have to practise and be vigilant of these surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the city police.
Following a devastating explosion near Red Fort in New Delhi that has left at least eight people feared dead, authorities in Hyderabad have issued a high alert across the city. Police are conducting thorough vehicle inspections at key checkpoints and throughout urban areas to bolster security.
It must also be noted that Hyderabad is also going to polls tomorrow with Jubilee Hills elections scheduled to be held first thing in the morning.
This is going to be a busy night for Hyderabad city policy with multiple activities lined up simultaneously, and it has to be seen how the situation would be dealt with on priority basis now.
