Coming Soon: Massive New Cricket Stadium In Hyderabad?

Hyderabad has been one of the cultural and supporting hubs in South India, and this has been the case for the last couple of decades. Now we could be a new for entertainment as a new cricket Stadium is likely to open in Hyderabad.

This new stadium is going to be in addition to the existing Uppal Stadium, which is with international features and the people in the city could be witnessing Cricket action now.

A massive new international cricket stadium is set to rise in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's ambitious Future City, with the foundation stone likely to be laid in December 2026.

The proposed venue is being planned with a seating capacity exceeding the 1.32 lakh capacity of Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, potentially making it one of the world’s largest cricket stadiums.

Designed on the lines of iconic venues such as Lord’s in England and Australia’s leading cricket stadiums, the facility is envisioned as a global sporting landmark.

Reportedly, the BCCI is going to fund construction and maintenance with the Telangana government to provide land. This is a joint development and management by the BCCI and the Telangana government are being worked out.

With proximity to the ORR, and the proposed RRR, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and the planned MetroRail extension, the Future city location is expected to offer excellent connectivity for cricket fans.

Considering the fact that the people of Hyderabad could be witnessing a new cricket stadium mall together, it has to be seen what would be the kind of action that would be promised in the days to follow.
