The New Year’s Eve is finally upon us as we are set to welcome 2025 in around two weeks from now. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad city is preparing for grand celebrations on the special day. In this context, Hyderabad commissioner has issued a new set of guidelines that are to be followed.

The managements of 3 Star & above Hotels, Clubs and Bars and Restaurants/Pubs who are going to conduct ticketed events/programmes upto 1.00 AM (midnight) should apply to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad for grant of permission well in advance i.e. at least (15) days before. All these places must mandatorily have CCTV cameras installed.

The Sound System in outdoor (including Public Address System, Loud Speaker, DJ system, DJ Sound Mixer, Sound Amplifier, Other High Sound Generating Equipment) must be stopped at 10:00 PM as per Supreme Court guidelines.

The Sound System is permitted beyond 10.00 PM only in indoor closed premises (for example: Community Hall, Banquet Halls and Function Halls) strictly only upto the requested time i.e. 01.00 AM and the noise level should not exceed 45 decibels.

The organisers must make sure that good clothing sense is followed by the customers as no obscenity or nudity is allowed. Alcohol must not her served to minors. Also, the cut off time for alcohol serving is 1 AM, post which the supply must be stopped.

Permissible alcohol limit is upto and below 30 mg/100 ml of blood i.e., 30 micrograms/100 ml of blood. Anything above that, as recorded by a Breath Analyzer is a violation. If you are found driving the vehicle in drunken condition a case will be booked against you by the Police.

Hyderabad police have made it very clear that these regulations will be followed in a very strict manner. So they celebrations must be carried out in a very rational and social manner.
