At regular intervals, it is adding more feathers. The capital city of Telangana welcomed Metro around seven years back. Since then Metro has been serving the people.
People who prefer Metro over other means of transport are also increasing rapidly. As they can beat the traffic and have hassle-free travel. Those who want to travel long distances prefer Metro.
For the past few days, it has been reported that the Metro project might be canceled. Amid this Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded to the reports and said that there is no truth in this. He said that the project is not canceled and the government will not cancel projects which are helping people.
Speaking to the media, Revanth Reddy said that the Metro project and Pharma City Project are not canceled. At the same time, he clarified that Metro will be expanded- MGBS to Shamshabad Airport, Miyapur to Ramachandrapuram, and Mind Space to the Financial District.
Adding further the new projects would be cost-effective as the proposed lines will be completed at less cost. His comments gave a lot of clarity on the doubts about the two projects getting canceled.
It has to be mentioned here that earlier Revanth Reddy had issued orders to halt the ongoing Hyderabad Airport Metro plan and other works. Besides this, the concerned officials were also asked to come up with alternative routes. With this, the reports on the projects getting canceled started.
