Our neighboring state Karnataka is dealing with a water crisis. The capital city Bengaluru is not having a good time with water. The seriousness of the issue is that the Chief Minister addressed the issue and said that the state had not seen such a crisis in the past 30 to 40 years.

Giving reasons for this, the experts said that water spread going down by 70 percent is the main issue. It is known that Bengaluru city expanded compared to a few decades earlier. The built-up area also increased massively.

Those who watched what was going on in Bengaluru were shocked and they even showed their concerns. Now a sensational observation has come out which says that Hyderabad might also face a Bengaluru-like water crisis if the measures are not taken on time.

A new observation said that after 2010, the construction increased massively and the built-up area also increased. Hyderabad is also turning out as a concrete jungle as the green cover is decreasing and the constructions increased over the years.

Urbanization played a big role in the expansion of the city and the built-up area. Being the capital city before and even in the divided states the city saw more and more constructions. City limits expanded further. Areas that were seen as outskirts came close to the city with this.

The data says that there are 185 notified water bodies in the state and few of them have dried up already. Few others are facing the impact of pollution and encroachment. Water bodies are occupied which is also blamed for this.

The experts say that people should focus on increasing the groundwater level with the help of Rainwater harvesting techniques and recharge pits. We are seeing people constructing the recharge pits to save the rainwater. The water can be used to safeguard the ground-level water.

Hyderabad will also expand in the coming days and everyone should take the required measures to see that the water is not wasted and the water level is not decreased.
