The victim who is from Hyderabad was stabbed in London leaving her dead. The attacker also tried to attack the victim’s friend. This incident became a sensation as she was brutally stabbed.
Going into details, Tejaswini Kontham who hails from Hyderabad was brutally stabbed by a man earlier last year. The suspect was nabbed by the authorities and the case has been under investigation.
Now it is said that the case saw a big development. As per the information that is coming from the media reports, suspect Keven Antonio Lourenco De Morai in the case had admitted doing the crime and stabbing the Hyderabadi girl.
However, he was reportedly sent to a mental facility by the court due to his health condition. It is said that he is suffering from a condition called paranoid schizophrenia. For this, he will undergo treatment at a center in London.
As per the media reports, the Court dealing with the case was informed that the suspect is a paranoid schizophrenia patient and he was diagnosed with the condition a few months before the crime. Considering this he was sent to a medical centre.
It is common for the courts to impose harsh punishments for the guilty in such cases. However, the way courts deal with such cases changes based on the mental condition of the guilty. The same might have happened as he was sent to a medical unit.
Going back to the incident, in June 2023 the Police were informed about an attack on two girls by a man. Both of them sustained knife injuries. The efforts to save Tejaswini went in vain while her friend was saved and sent for treatment.
