Get Ready! Airplane Tickets Are Getting Costlier?

Something pretty significant is happening with regard to the petroleum market in the civil aviation industry as the government has communicated big news regarding the same.

The government has significantly increased the export duty on diesel from ₹21.5 to ₹55.5 per litre, impacting fuel exports and the wider energy sector. Additionally, the duty on Aviation Turbine Fuel jumped to ₹42 per litre, alongside rising excise duties and infrastructure cesses on high-speed diesel.

This is due to the fact that the global fuel costs have been going up due to the prevailing conflict between Iran and the United States. There could be significant changes in the pricing model of the plane tickets from now. Now that the additional fees has been imposed on diesel and Airplane fuel, it needs to be seen when the company would actually decide to hike the ticket prices for the common folk.

Now that the increase in prices of aeroplane, fuel and diesel for aviation companies has been increased by nearly hundred percent, the impact on the ticket prices could also be pretty sharp. It is going to be a matter of time before leading civil aviation companies across India would be hiking the ticket prices accordingly. We have to patiently wait and see when this would happen.
