Shocking Report: Indian Betting Market Touches 10 Lakh Crore!

For a long time now, the law enforcement authorities in India have been strictly warning against gambling and related activities, but that is having very little effect on the ground level.

And now conservative estimate reports are suggesting that the Indian gambling market is beyond comprehension as more than 1.5 crore people are indulging in gambling each day. The very fact that more than 1.5 crore Indians are actively engaging and gambling activities every day is an indication of the growing concerns in the market.

It must also be kept in mind that the annual gambling transactions in India have touched more than ₹10 lakh crore. This is the equivalent of many state budgets put together, and that speaks volumes about the kind of money that is being circulated through this activity.

To make matters worse, even social media influencers have been promoting these activities as it is established that more than 854 social media influencers have promoted gambling till now.

The government and the law enforcement authorities have been making it very clear that indulging and sports gambling activities can have serious consequences.

This is precisely being established again, but that is not stopping the common public from indulging in these activities. The worst part is that 60% of the participants in this activity are losing money every day.

We have been hearing many cases of students and even settled employees committing suicide as they are unable to face the financial burden of these gambling activities, and this scenario is not improving one bit.

It is perhaps responsibility of the government and the police department to make sure that strict measures are put in place to reduce the public dependence on these gambling activities.

It is going to be a matter of time before further consequences are felt to this effect, and that must be stopped at the earliest.
