Indo-Pak war situation: Get Ready US Travellers!
Incidentally, this prevailing situation could mean that the travel from India to United States could get that much tougher.
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 April 2025 10:44 AM ISTThe warning situation between India and Pakistan has become a topic of conflict after the Pahalgam incident where a terrorism attack claimed the lives of 27 individuals. All 27 of these victims happened to be Indian natives and all of them are civilians.
Incidentally, this prevailing situation could mean that the travel from India to United States could get that much tougher.
When tensions rise between India and Pakistan, especially during military conflicts, Pakistan often closes parts of its airspace for safety reasons. This directly affects international flights, including those between India and the United States.
Many flights from India to the U.S., especially from northern cities like Delhi, usually take the shortest path that passes through Pakistani airspace. If that route is blocked, airlines have to take longer paths, flying south over the Arabian Sea or detouring through Central Asia. This can add one to two hours to the journey.
The longer routes mean more fuel is used, increasing costs for airlines. These costs may be passed on to passengers through higher fares. Flights may also face delays or even cancellations during periods of high tension.
Such disruptions don’t just affect passengers; they also impact cargo flights and international travel schedules. In short, conflicts involving Pakistan create a ripple effect across the skies, making travel between India and America more expensive, time-consuming, and unpredictable.
In a way, this prevailing situation is going to largely change the logistical meters pertaining to the travel, for the above mentioned reasons.
