U.S. Says India Helped Russia In Ukraine War!

The situation between India and the United States of America is at an all time volatile position. Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade adviser Peter Navarro has accused India of helping Russia in the Ukraine war. He said India is buying cheap oil from Russia, which gives Moscow money to continue its military operations.

Navarro even called the conflict “Modi’s war,” suggesting that India’s actions are partly responsible for the ongoing fighting.

He also suggested a deal that if India stops importing Russian crude, the United States could reduce the new 50% tariffs it has placed on Indian goods. According to him, American taxpayers are indirectly paying the price because Russia earns more through India’s purchases.

India strongly rejected these claims. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said the U.S. tariffs are unfair and confusing, pointing out that other countries like China and members of the European Union also continue to buy Russian energy.

He argued that India must secure affordable energy for its people and is following international rules, such as the G7 price cap.

Many experts criticized Navarro’s remarks, saying it is wrong to label the Ukraine war as India’s responsibility. They stressed that India’s position is about protecting its own energy needs, not about funding Russia’s war.
