India vs Pakistan Game To Be Boycotted? What BJP Said?

For the first time after the horrifying Pahalgam terror incident, India and Pakistan are going to come together for a cricketing event. This game is going to be played between India and Pakistan at the famous Dubai International Stadium as a part of the ongoing Asia Cup tournament.

However, there are several social media posts demanding an indefinite by court of this game between India and Pakistan due to the prevailing tensions.

There are also several posts saying that India must have opted out of this game in order to avoid coming face to face with Pakistan in view of the Pahalgam attack. Many people have already been commenting that they will not be watching the game live on TV as a token of protest.

However, BJP MP, Anurag Thakur has responded on this matter, and here is what he had to say.

When multinational tournaments are organised by ACC or ICC, it becomes a compulsion. If they don't do that, they will be eliminated from the tournament, they will have to forfeit the match and the other team will get the points, the MP said.

We have made this decision for years that India won't play bilateral tournaments with Pakistan until Pakistan stops terrorist attacks on India, the BJP MP further concluded.

The point that must be noted here is that if at all India forfeits this game, then Pakistan will be given the points and a consequently a chance to progress ahead. According to the BJP MP, this is being cited as the reason why India is not boycotting or forfeiting this game.
