Indias Love On Cricket: Vizag Match Gets Terrific Response!

It's been less than one week since the World Cup heartbreak. Team India led by Rohit Sharma which consecutive wins could not continue the momentum in the finals and was defeated by the Australian team. Fans who waited to see India lift the World Cup trophy had to face a big shock.

When such a big heartbreak happens it is common for people to expect less interest in bilateral series. Less crowds and less viewership should be recorded in the matches. But Indian fans stunned everyone with their sporting spirit. In yesterday's match, this was shown largely.

The T20 series between India and Australia started the other day and the first match was played on Thursday in Vizag where matches are not played frequently as compared to other cities. But the match came as a surprise to one and all as the stadium saw good attendance.

Not just the attendance of fans in the stadium, but even the viewership on the streaming app was phenomenal. The Jio Cinemas app is streaming all for the T20 series and the app doesn't charge a single rupee for the match as the services are free.

The viewership on the app saw big numbers as around 5 crore people watched the match. The viewership is close to the record viewership Disney+ Hotstar recorded for the World Cup matches. This proves how much love Indians have for cricket. Days after the World Cup defeat record views and good attendance were recorded at the stadium.

Talking about the match, Australia batted first and set up a big score of 208 in 20 overs. Josh Inglis helped his team score big runs with a brilliant century. In response, India cashed this with two wickets to spare. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan scored crucial runs. In the end, Rinku Singh (22 not out off 14 balls) finished things.
