The volume of the Indian community that has been travelling to the United States and particularly settling down in area, select Texas and Atlanta has been going up sharply over the last decade.

It has reached the saturation point where several establishment and residential markets in these states are almost entirely occupied by the Indian community. Moreover, these spaces are almost occupied by the Telugu population.

This has created a very peculiar situation in the United States, where long-standing settlers in the country who can be termed as old NRIs are fearing the impact of new NRIs.

The long settling population is reportedly frustrated by the fact that a large volume of the Indian population and Telugu community is starting to settle down in these particular states.

They are apparently fearing the fact that this over population very well trigger racism and social profiling from the local American population, and this is not going to be a good thing for the Indian community there.

When the population was under control and certain numericals were followed with regard to the immigration, things were good. But now that several thousands of Indians are travelling to United States on a regular basis, the overpopulation is going to have a strong effect.

Already there are several areas in Dallas and Atlanta, which have been witnessing ratio profiling against Indians from the local Americans and this could grow on other states in the near future.

It has reached a point where old settlers in the United States are extremely cautious about the new settling population are less accustomed due to the situation and can cause damage to the Indian reputation.
