Interestingly enough, according to the latest global media reports, Indian origin Judge Amit Mehta ruled the Trump administration's Green Card freeze for 75+ countries unlawful.

He found the State Department exceeded its authority, usurping consular officers visa powers and violating the Immigration and Nationality Act. This executive order passed by the judges today, and it is likely to implementation shortly.

This would essentially mean that Trump will not have the authority to freeze the green card issuance for people from 75+ countries. This is a direct cross questioning of the authority of the United States president.

But at the same time, the judge has pointed out that the United States department of state has crossed their Authority and tourist diction while imposing such restrictions on international immigrants in the first place.
