Amidst Visa Crackdown, Indian Students With Small Cases Are Scared!
In this context, the latest developments have been suggesting that the author authorities have been a strict to watch when it comes to filtering immigrants on visas.
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 April 2025 10:35 PM ISTIt is already known that the Donald Trump administration in the United States has started to crack down on the visa issue and policy, and also the subsequent measures that are taken to drive out the legal immigration population.
In this context, the latest developments have been suggesting that the author authorities have been a strict to watch when it comes to filtering immigrants on visas.
Even small reasons like traffic case violations, speeding tickets, and domestic assault cases are being used to terminate the visas to the public. This has resulted in a state of panic amongst the Indian community that has been staying in the United States.
Since March 2025, many international students in the U.S., especially from India, have had their visas suddenly cancelled due to small offenses like traffic violations or expired car papers. Over 1,000 students have been affected, with around half of them being Indian.
Most were not warned in advance and were ordered to leave the country immediately. Legal experts say this is unfair because the students didn’t get a chance to defend themselves. The U.S. government hasn’t clearly explained why this is happening.
This situation has caused fear among students, with many now avoiding public places. Colleges and support groups are asking the government to set clearer rules and protect the rights of international students.
If this situation continues, then we could expect more visa, cancellations and related activities in the United States in the days to follow. These really are challenging and tricky conditions for the Indian population.
