Americans Like Indians Or Not? What Did Survey Say?

For many years in the United States of America has been one of the primary destinations for the Indian students and working professionals to settle down for a better life. But this has been going down drastically.

Now latest survey has established the population of the United States and their verdict of Indians migration. This is not going to be an easy reading for the Indian community, as it is evident that the vast majority of Americans are unfavourable to Indian migration.

According to the latest social media communication made by a leading survey agency based out of the United States “45% of Americans view India favorably, while 50% view it unfavorably.

These ratings are some of the lowest since 2008, when we began asking this question.”

This is perhaps a reflection of the extreme activities, including cultural events and loud activities committed by the Indian population in US. This has become major not for American population, but also the general people in the US.

Indian student numbers in the US fell to a 29-month low of 338,230 in July, declining for 10 straight months and 12% since September 2025. Visa uncertainty is making America a less attractive destination for Indian students.

It is high time that Indians start to take this metric into consideration and change their methods in the United States as more unfavourable rating could lead to that much more repulsion in the days to follow.
