A 35-year-old Indian-origin woman named Priyatharshini Natarajan has been arrested and charged with the murder of her two young children in Hillsborough, New Jersey, authorities confirmed.

The accused, identified as Priyatharsini Natarajan, allegedly caused the deaths of her sons, aged 5 and 7, on Tuesday.

According to Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald, the children’s father made an emergency 911 call around 6:45 pm after returning home from work and finding both children unconscious.

He told authorities that “his wife did something to them.” Police officers arriving at the residence found the father and Natarajan at the scene and later discovered the two children deceased inside a bedroom.

This horrifying incident has left the locals and community members in a state of deep shock, and the police investigation is currently underway.
