What A Turnaround Mama! India Thrashes Australia

History has been created in Perth in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy test series between India and Australia as the visiting nation thrashed the Aussies in the opening test match by a margin of 295 runs.

This is the first time in this decade(start of 2020) that Australia has the first test of the series on home soil. Also, this is the second-biggest win for India against Australia ever.

After a humiliating and gut-wrenching defeat to New Zealand in the test series at home, India came back scorching hot in the test series against Australia, ending up winning the first game in a super comprehensive manner.

After the shambolic performance in the first innings, everyone thought India would be doomed in the series but the exact opposite happened thanks to a stellar second innings.

Captain Bumrah was virtually unplayable as he picked up 8 wickets and broke Australia's back in both innings. This was paired with refined batting performances from Jaiswal, Kohli(2nd innings) and debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy. So, despite a fighting knock from Travis head in the second innings, India could mount a humongous win against the mighty Aussies in Australia.

What this promises now is a thoroughly enthralling test in Adelaide, starting from the 6th of December. With this being a pink ball test, this game is expected to favor the bowlers much more and it sets the stage for the rest of the series.
