Keeping the debate aside, February 14 is a black day for many people in India. It is not like they are against love and oppose the lovers. But what happened on the date was very painful. Those who cannot the unfortunate events on the date recall the horror. The reason behind this is that a horrific terror attack was launched in India on February 14, 2019.

Yes, February 14 is a black day in the history of India. Five years back on this day, the terrorists attacked the Indian troops. CRPF personnel lost their lives in the attack. On the afternoon of February 14, the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed launched the attack. A suicide bomber attacked two buses carrying 40 CRPF personnel.

The Indian Paramilitary vehicles carrying the CRPF personnel were traveling alongside the highway in the Pulwama district in South Kashmir. The vehicles were attacked. Shortly after the attack, the terrorist group released a video claiming responsibility for the attack. Later it was found that the terrorists launched the attack with a proper plan.

This made India angry. With this, the Indian warplanes decided to cross the LOC for the first time after the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The Indian Air Force vehicles dropped bombs on the terror camps in Balakot and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Around 12 Miraz-2000 planes took part in the operation. This attack claimed the lives of 300 terrorists. Indian troops showed their strength.

The counterattack led to a tense situation between India and Pakistan. Pak planned an attack on Indian troops. On February 27, 2019, Pakistan's F-16 planes tried an attack. Reports say that one F-16 plane and two Indian MIG-21 bison were damaged in the attack. In the process, Indian Air Force Pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan was caught by Pakistan. Later, Imran Khan announced his release on February 28.

After being held captive for 60 days, Pakistan officers handed over Abhinandan to Indian officers on March 1st, 2019. Indian hero Abhinandan proudly landed in India showing his Valour.

As so many bad things happened many people see February 14th as a black day. They remember the ultimate sacrifice 40 CRPF personnel made in the terror attack. People remember the bad deeds the terrorists did. Indians proudly say Bharat Mata Ki Jai remembering the IAF attacks on the Pakistan camps and the valour shown by Abhinandan.
