India is no different and no words can describe the craze Indian students have for the US. With every passing year, the numbers pick up. During the Covid scare the process was halted. When things became normal, the numbers started picking up massively. To give an example, India even surpassed China in this.

Usually, China tops the list in the international students quota who land in the US. However, India surpassed China and sent a record number of students to the United States. The data said that there was a rise of as much as 35 percent.

If we have to take anything from the Open Doors Report (ODR) data, international students who went to the US increased by 35 percent. In 2022-23, no less than 2,68,923 students went to the United States.

It is said that since 2009/10 India surpassed China as the largest source of international graduates in the United States who are pursuing various courses like graduation, under-graduation, and post-graduation.

The United States is dubbed as the land of opportunities given the vast opportunities. People from various nations land there to have education and take up jobs. Students who end up taking part-time jobs are also increasing in big numbers.

On the other hand, going to the US is also seen as a prestigious issue and parents take immense pride in sending their children to America for higher studies and jobs. This factor also plays a big role in the increase of Indian students.
