When this is the positive picture, the negative picture is that attacks on Indian students are increasing gradually. In recent incidents, as many as five students were found dead which is shocking. These incidents raised many fears and concerns about the safety of the students.
Amid the concerning scenes, the White House reacted to the trend and condemned it. Saying that there is no space for violence, the White House said that President Joe Biden and his administration are working hard to stop these attacks.
In the wake of increasing attacks against Indian Students John Kirby, White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications said that there is space for the violence in the country and it is unacceptable. He said that violence is not acceptable on any ground be it race, gender, or religion.
He went on to say that the Administration is working hard to put in the best efforts to stop the violence. We are working with the state and local authorities on this. Efforts are put in to see that these sorts of attacks are stopped.
The response came from the White House amid the unfortunate incidents involving Indian students. As many as five students passed away in different incidents. In one incident a homeless man attacked a student. In another incident, a student was attacked outside his house by a few masked men. The victim was left with severe injuries.
The Indian community in the United States is very worried about the ongoing trend. They are urging everyone to be cautious when they step out and be careful.
