India is having a glorious run in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. Across the games, the athletes are winning the medals and are proving to the world that they are not next to anyone. In the 10m Air Rifle Men's team, India won a Gold medal marking the first in the category.

India's second gold at the Asian Games 2023 in Cricket. Indian women's team led by Harmanpreet Kaur created a historic feat by winning the gold. Cricket was introduced in the continental multi-sport event Asian Games for the first time and India won the gold in the first stint.

The Indian team is in good form and has been winning one after the other games and reached the finals. India has to face island nation Sri Lanka in the finals. In the edge-of-the-seat entertainer, India held its nerves and won the glorious gold medal.

Sri Lankan bowlers did not let Indian players free their arms. Young player Shafali Varma who is known for attacking batting style was sent back early. Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues played sensibly and added a crucial partnership of 73 runs.

India's score would have been more had the players played big innings. No other batswomen managed to score a two-digit score after Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues lost their wickets.

India was restricted to just 116 in 20 hours. Indian bowlers breathed fire on the field with their lethal deliveries and took India to a crucial win. Right-arm medium pacer Titas Sadhu took three wickets and gave the big breakthrough.

When Hasini Perera and Nilakshi de Silva tried to settle things Rajeshwari Gayakwad broke the partnership and sent back Perera. Indian bowlers restricted the Sri Lankan team to 97 for 8, sealed a win by 19 runs and won the gold.
