America is the land of opportunities and the nation is also the dream destination of many. Students who want to pursue higher studies prefer America. The count of students who land there has been increasing rapidly. Indians also make up a big percentage of international students.

A 23-year-old’s US dream took an unwanted turn as he died of malaria. The student is studying in the United States and the victim passed away undergoing treatment at a hospital in Brazil.

As per the information, one Navjot who is from India is a student of the University of California who is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. He is said to have gone to Brazil for a study tour earlier this month with others.

After going to Brazil Navjot fell ill and developed malaria. Given his condition, he was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. But the treatment could not save him and he breathed his last undergoing treatment at the hospital in Sao Paulo. It is said that he breathed his last earlier this week.

No words can describe the pain the victim's father faced as he is the only son. His father Sher Singh said that he was informed about his son’s health condition and that he was admitted to the hospital and was kept on treatment.

Later I was informed of the sad news that my son passed away at the hospital while undergoing treatment. My world fell apart as he is my only son. He went to the US for higher studies. But fate had other plans, he said.

The victim hails from India and his family is based in Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh. As he passed away in another nation, the local authorities are putting in their best efforts to bring the mortal remains. They are in touch with authorities in Sao Paulo to see that his body is brought to the native place.
