In the era dominated by the T20s, there is an opinion that the shorter the format is the more interesting the game becomes. There is also a demand that ODIs should be cut down to 40 overs to make the game interesting. Not just T20s, but even a shorter format, the T10 League was introduced.

Despite all this, the Test format stood tall and proved that it had not lost the magic yet. A match was finished in just one and a half days with the match getting completed in 107 overs the shortest test match in 146 years.

India landed in South Africa with a lot of expectations that it would win the Test series which the other Indian teams could have not achieved. But the first match had a different ending with India losing the match by an innings margin.

But that did not stop India from drawing the series. India bounced back and won the second test match. The match showed the brilliance of Indian bowlers. While Mohammed Siraj claimed a six-wicket haul his first one in the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah recorded a fifer in the second innings.

The test match proved the magic of the format yet again as 23 wickets fell on day one of the match. First South Africa was bundled for 55 runs. In response, India lost ten wickets for 153 runs. In the South African second innings, 176 runs were scored. India should chase 79 to win the second match and Rohit's men did it by losing three wickets.

Test Match has the craze that anything can happen in a match. Living up to the expectations 33 wickets fell in just two days, one and a half days to be precise. Such matches keep the craze intact and South Africa vs India proved this again.
