After working hard in the elections, the Congress party came to power in Telangana. Before the elections, the party made many serious allegations against the BRS government. After coming to power, the Congress party started targeting the previous government on various issues.

Recently, the Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government released a white paper on the state finances which says that the debts faced by the state improved by many fold since the formation of the state. After releasing the white paper, the Congress party targeted the BRS saying that it pushed the state into severe debts.

Now Revanth Reddy had hit it out of the park by calling an inquiry into the electricity deals. In response to the challenge thrown by the former Minister, the Chief Minister said that the government is ready for a judicial investigation into the electricity deals.

A heated argument took place in the Assembly on the debts and the wrong decisions taken by the BRS government. Former Minister Jagadish Reddy said that BRS took the right calls in the electricity policies. He even said that they are ok if a judicial inquiry is called.

In response, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the government will call a judicial inquiry into the electricity deals with Chattisgarh, Yadardri Power Station, and Bhadradri Power Project.

Speaking in the House, the Chief Minister said that an inquiry would be called into them. He said that the deal made with Chattisgarh put a burden of Rs 1362 crores on the government and the officer who spoke the truth about the deal was demoted and transferred to another place.

He went on to say that an inquiry would be called into the Yadadri and Bhardradri power projects as there are a few irregularities.
