It is already known that Iran is currently at work with the United States as the two countries have started to take on each other at military capacity. We are now hearing a series of interesting speculations.

Iran has claimed that it is mobilising around one million fighters as tensions rise over the possibility of a United States ground invasion. According to reports, this move is being presented by Tehran as a defensive preparation in case foreign forces attempt to enter Iranian territory.

Officials say volunteers are stepping forward from different branches of the country’s military structure, including the regular army, the Revolutionary Guards, and the Basij paramilitary network. The Basij alone has a vast pool of reservists and civilian volunteers, which explains how such a large number is being projected.

Beyond military readiness, the announcement appears to serve as a strong deterrent message. By highlighting the scale of potential resistance, Iran is signalling that any land invasion would be difficult, costly, and prolonged. This public display of numbers is meant to discourage adversaries from considering such an option.

The move also has a domestic angle. In times of external threat, projecting unity and mass mobilisation can boost national morale and strengthen the government’s standing among its people, especially amid ongoing economic and social pressures.

However, experts caution that the figure does not mean one million fully trained, combat ready soldiers. It likely includes volunteers, reservists, and loosely organised paramilitary supporters. Exact numbers and capabilities remain hard to verify since most of the information comes from official Iranian statements rather than independent assessments.
