Is YS Jagan planning to edge out these two key leaders?

Is YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slowly but surely moving his pawns to edge out at least two senior loyalists? Is he determined to show the door to MLC Marri Rajasekhar and Rajya Sabha MP Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy? From the way YS Jagan is making his moves, it appears certain that these two leaders, who have remained with the Jagan through the thick and thin, would be left with no option but to either retire from politics or to leave the ruling YSRCP.

In a significant move, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has removed Ayodhya Rami Reddy from the Guntur regional coordinator’s post and has appointed another Rajya Sabha member Vijaysai Reddy in his place. He has removed MLC Marri Rajasekhar from the Krishna district regional coordinator’s post. Both the leaders have not been given any other post.

Sources say that Jagan is peeved at Ayodhya Rami Reddy over his failure to dissuade his brother and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy from leaving the party. Ramakrishna Reddy made a scathing criticism of YS Jagan’s style of functioning while leaving the party. Also, Jagan is upset over ex-MP Modugula Venugopal Reddy’s fiasco. Modugula is a close relative of Ayodhya Rami Reddy. He approached YS Jagan with a request for the party ticket to contest for the Lok Sabha. However, he soon changed his mind and stayed aloof. This flip-flop reportedly angered Jagan and he is said to be of the opinion that Ayodhya Rami Reddy has failed in handling the issue.

As for Marri, he is a Kamma leader, who stuck to YS Jagan through difficult times. However, his estranged relations with minister Vidadala Rajini and his proximity to MP Lavu Krishnadeva Rayalau, who has just left the party, has left YS Jagan shocked. He now finds Marri untrustworthy. Hence, he has taken away key post from him, sources say. Sources say that Jagan is now wary of them and is finding it difficult to repose trust in them. Hence the organizational reshuffle, say sources.
