AP Local Election: Jagan Is Not Happy, What's His 1st Reaction?
He made it very clear that this election is more like a selection procedure as far as the government is concerned.
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Nov 2026 10:27 AM ISTThe former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan has a very strong opinion on the ongoing local body election procedure in the state. He is of the implication that the election is not being held fairly and he blamed chief minister Chandrababu and also the election commission for the irregularities.
Jagan appeared to be completely against the election procedure as he said the entire process was rigged in support of the rolling government, while the opposition was not given any chance.
Considering the outright positive for the NDA alliance in the local election, where they were able to successfully win around 95% of the municipal elections, Jagan said this is possible only due to power abuse.
"Congratulations, Team Chandrababu, Police, and SEC. You have demonstrated how to win an election spectacularly by ensuring that the opposition never gets a chance to compete." Jagan wrote in his social media statement today.
He went on to give the implication that these candidates were selected by the government and strengthened by the election commission rather than them getting selected by the common public. He made it very clear that this election is more like a selection procedure as far as the government is concerned.
Jagan even blamed the election commission for the same as he had been repeatedly saying in the recent past that certain reforms must be brought in India. This is perhaps in tune with the ongoing vote Chor narrative built by the Congress and other opposition parties across India.
At this rate, we might expect Jagan to be a part of the opposition narrative against the election commission as he is steadily raising his voice in the recent past.
