Jagan Takes Fight For Opposition Leader Tag To Court!

Power is not permanent in politics and no one can assure who can slip to opposition when. YCP was in power in the last term while the TDP was in opposition with just 23 seats. We have seen how the YCP mocked TDP over the number of seats it won. Jagan even said that TDP would lose the opposition tag if he opened doors for the MLAs.

But the tables have turned around and the YCP is in opposition now. It is now fighting for the opposition party status. YS Jagan had written to the Assembly Speaker seeking the same saying that Opposition is needed to be the questioning voice.

Now the YCP has taken its fight to the High Court. Media reports say that YS Jagan moved the High Court seeking directives to get the opposition status. Saying that he had written to the Speaker with the same request, he sought the Court’s intervention.

His petition is expected to be heard by the Court soon. We have to see what the Court would say and whether it would give any relief to Jagan or not. If he won't get the relief in the High Court Jagan might move the Supreme Court, reports say.

Probably for the first time an opposition leader had moved the Court to get the tag. We have not heard about such a thing earlier where a leader knocked on the doors of the Court to get the opposition party status. Let us wait and see.

It is known that Jagan has been fighting over the situation in the state after the change in power. He said that he would fight in the national capital Delhi. The fight is slated for commencement tomorrow.
