It's been around five years since the YCP came to power in Andhra Pradesh. In this period, a lot of changes happened in the state and AP went through a big transformation across the sectors. You name a sector, it saw a big upliftment in the infrastructure and facilities.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been putting a special focus on education and the infrastructure was changed at the state-run schools. We can see the development phase as before and after Jagan’s tenure. The state-run schools were developed on par with the corporate schools.

The hard work the administration has been doing is giving good results as lakhs of students sat for the TOEFL Exam. It is said that the numbers that are recorded are highest in the recent past which says that the education sector in the state is traveling on the right path.

As per the information, as many as 4.5 lakh government school students took the Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL). Students from III to V standard in the state gave the exams and 4,53,265 students appeared for the exam to be precise. Students from 13,104 state-run schools across the state took the exam.

The big numbers in the exam are a big example of improved quality of education. Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized exam that aims at testing the English language ability. When students from small classes have given the exam we can imagine how good the infrastructure is.

Well, it is not over yet. It is said that students from higher classes will also appear for the exam. It is said that students of classes 6,7,8,9 from 5907 schools are slated to take the exam. The number of students who will sit for the exam is quite high as the officials say that no less than 16. 5 lakh students would sit for the exam.

This is not the first time Andhra Pradesh students shined on a big stage. Earlier a team of students attended the United Nations Education Forum. The government earned big praise for this back then.
