By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Feb 2026 9:23 AM ISTJana Sena Railway Koduru MLA Arava Sreedhar had been in the bad news for the last few days after a horrifying scandal involving him, and a common woman went viral on social media.
Now the latest news is that Sreedhar has appeared in front of the Janasena committee that has been formed to investigate this incident, and he clarified on the series of events that had happened. A case has been registered against Railway Koduru MLA Arava Sreedhar in connection with an alleged scandal, drawing significant public attention.
Acting on the directions of the National Human Rights Commission, the Kadapa Superintendent of Police filed the FIR under BNS sections 318(2), 318(4), 88, and 351(2) in case number 22/2026. The development has triggered political debate as well as strong reactions from the public. Responding to the controversy, Arava Sreedhar stated that the matter is purely personal and should not be linked to the Jana Sena Party. He urged critics and observers not to drag the party into what he described as his private life.
However, the issue has raised a larger question about the line between personal conduct and public responsibility. Critics argue that while private lives are indeed personal, the situation changes once actions enter the public domain, especially when they involve an elected representative. Echoing this sentiment is the famous thought often attributed to poet Sri Sri that private lives remain one’s own, but once they become public, society has the right to question them.
The controversy now puts the spotlight on political accountability. Many are asking whether a leader can dismiss such allegations as personal while holding public office. If the party and its leadership fail to address the matter, it may influence public trust and voter confidence in future elections.
