Amid the talk of the possibility of the TDP pairing up with the Jana Sena to defeat the firmly – entrenched YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, discordant notes are being heard from within the Jana Sena. A section of the Jana Sena activists, who had toiled hard and spent considerable amount of time all these years are fuming at the possibility of an alliance.

They want that the Jana Sena should be given these seats in the event of an alliance with the TDP. In at least three constituencies of East Godavari – Mummidivaram, Kothapet and Rajanagaram – the Jana Sena leaders are planning to contest as independents if the TDP is given these seats as part of electoral understanding.

If there is going to be an alliance with the TDP, the seat would go to TDP’s Bandaru Satyanandam. This will leave Jana Sena leader and constituency incharge Srinivasa Rao. Rao has already nurtured the constituency well and has worked hard among the people. Hence he is likely to contest as a rebel if he is denied an opportunity to contest due to an alliance with the TDP.

Ditto with Pitani Balakrishna of the Jana Sena. He has worked hard in Mummidivaram constituency and if the party has to forego the seat to the TDP, he is all set to contest as an independent. Similarly, Battula Balarama Krishna is has nurtured the Rajanagaram constituency. If TDP candidate Boddu Venkataramana Chowdary is given the ticket as a TDP candidate, he is likely to rebel and enter the electoral fray.
