By: Tupaki Desk | 1 July 2026 5:26 PM ISTIt is already known that was majority of the Indian population that had travelled to the United States are facing every problematic situation due to the prevailing immigration policies there. So there is this constant demand to look for other countries that can accommodate the human workforce from India.
In this context, Japan has done something extremely interesting as the country has proposed the idea of hiring multiple Indian origin individuals for their workforce.
According to the latest reports from national media channels, Japan's Fukuoka Prefecture plans to recruit 50,000 skilled workers from Haryana over the next 5 years.
This recruitment Is driven by a severe labour shortage affecting nearly 80% of companies in sectors like semiconductors, automobiles, IT, and manufacturing. In tune with this Haryana will introduce Japanese language and industry-specific technical training to prepare its workforce.
But the point of difference here is that the hiring process is happening from one single state in India while the other states are left in the dark. If this can be implemented at a large capacity, then it would be great use for all of India.
However, this is just a starting procedure now, and it has to be seen how well this could be implemented in the days to follow as efficiency is going to play a crucial role here.
