The Trump administration has communicated that multiple companies including Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Infosys and others will no longer be permitted to apply for green card for their employees in the near future.
Now the vice president has come down heavily on Microsoft with regard to their green card processing policy as he appeared to hold something against this leading company.
According to the public communication made by vice president, JD Vance "There has been no company in the United States, unfortunately, that has abused the system more than Microsoft."
Vance points to 6,000 layoffs alongside what he says were 6,300 H-1B visas and nearly 3,000 green cards, arguing that the numbers raise serious questions about how American workers are being treated.
Microsoft replied that all of these employees are hired based on skills and the kind of talent that they offered to the company as it was made very clear that it was a business decision.
But if this is going to be the operational procedure of the vice president of the United States, it could very well mean that tough time is loading for the Indian population there.
It is going to be a matter of time before the term administration comes down on several other companies that have been providing opportunities to Indians and this could lead to complete fallout.
Things are not looking promising for the Indian working population in the United States, as the number of opportunities are going down consistently. At this rate, we can expect the visa approval rate to go on drastically as well in the days to follow.
