Indian Mad Love: Cricketer Loved More Here Than Home Country!

The kind of love that Indians have towards Cricket is beyond ordinary and it has been the case for many decades now. Particularly we have a few iconic players from the 1990s and early 2000, who have created a legacy for themselves.

One such foreign player who has insane following in India is Jonty Rhodes and he happens to be one of the most popular cricketers here in India.

Incidentally, Jonty was asking about the kind of love that he receives from his native people in South Africa, and he was asking you to compare it with the love he gets here in India.

The legendary South African cricketer had a very interesting reaction to this question as he said people in India have a lot more love in terms of expressing it out there, than his own people in South Africa.

He gave the implication that Indians are crazy about cricket and the reflect in the kind of love that they show towards their favourite players as it is more dominant and appealing to the eye. He says he is equally respected in South Africa as well, but in terms of volume, it is India, which is ahead.

The interesting observation here is that this legendary South African cricketer who has insane love towards India, happened to name his younger daughter “India”. This speaks a lot about the kind of love that he has for India as a country as he named his daughter after the country.
