Kamal Haasan takes one step further to Rajya Sabha

Kamal Haasan, doesn't require an introduction as his contributions to Indian Cinema speak volumes about his legacy. As a person who completed more than 60 years of career in films as actor, writer, director, make-up artist, musician, singer, lyricist and choreographer, his multi-faceted skills are world renowned.

He won multiple National Awards for his performances and even got recognised with Padma Shri (1990), Padma Bhushan (2014) nationally along with Prix Henri-Langlois French Award (2016) and Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier) (2016), Internationally.

Now, he filed nomination for Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu in Arts category. He has already established Makkal Needi Maiam political party and even contested in last general elections in Tamil Nadu. He filed his nomination in the presence of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and Deputy CM Udayanidhi Stalin.

The actor has made it his life's goal to entertain people and work for the upliftment of films. He even completed AI course in filmmaking in USA, recently, and he is charged up to utilise the Rajya Sabha MP position to do good for people as well as Indian Cinema and Arts. His recent film Thug Life is released by Nithiin's father Sudhakar Reddy in Telugu and it is running to houseful crowds all over with positive feedback from all corners.
