Kandula Durgesh Going To Nidadavole, Line Clear For Gorantla?

TDP-Janasena's first candidates' list was announced recently. Despite getting clarity on the seats both parties would get, the suspense was intact on the crucial seats where both parties were adamant about getting the seats. Due to the tough competition, candidates were not announced for the seats.

Rajahmundry Rural Assembly constituency is one such tight seat. Sitting MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary and former MLC Kandula Durgesh are confident of getting the tickets. Supporters of both leaders want their leaders to get tickets.

Earlier it was reported that one of them would be asked to move to another constituency so that the other candidate would face the elections. Who will get the seat and who will contest the elections from there is the question many have.

Now it looks like the suspense is over. Kandula Durgesh was asked to move to Nidadavole. At a meeting addressing the leaders and cadres, the former MLC is believed to have said that the leadership asked him to move to Nidadavole and sought everyone’s help in the tough arena.

Saying that the leadership would formally announce the decision to contest from the Nidadavole seat, Kandula Durgesh said he is bound to the decision taken by the leadership and will follow what the leadership says.

With this, it appears that the line is cleared for Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary. In the second list, we might see Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary from Rajahmundry Rural and Kandula Durgesh from Nidadavole seat as the candidates.

It looks like Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary is an easy pick in the seat. He is a sitting MLA there who has been winning consecutive elections. Even in the Jagan wave in 2019, Gorantla managed to win the elections.

Over the decades Gornatla created a legacy for him which is not the case for Kandula Durgesh. He lost the previous elections. Considering all these aspects Kandula might have been asked to move to another seat.
