Sunil Kanugolu, the poll strategist is credited for bringing the Congress party to power in the recent Karnataka elections. Many say that the campaign activities he designed and his surveys in picking candidates played a key role. Now it is said that Sunil Kanugolu’s team conducted a survey for pickling the candidates in 119 constituencies in Telangana.

It is also said that the AICC bigwigs in Delhi finalised the leaders from the top three list he sent. Now the work is said to have started for intensifying the campaign activities and using social media for the campaign activities. For this, a big team comprising 350 members entered the Gandhi Bhavan.

It is often said that the war room played a crucial role in the Congress party’s success in the Karnataka elections. Following this, the Bengaluru war room team of 350 members led by Sunil Kanugolu landed in Hyderabad to implement the Karnataka strategy in Telangana.

As part of this, the Sunil Kanugolu-led team visited the Indira Bhavan War Room in Gandhi Bhavan. With this, the campaign in social media is expected to be intensified. Sunil Kanugolu is believed to have prepared a new action plan with 36 groups.

While the 30 groups will have ten members each which makes them 300 strength, 50 others would be attached to the war room. These 30 teams might work in the combined districts. The teams will work distinctively on preparing speeches for the Congress candidates and highlighting the failures of the KCR government.

These teams are also expected to take care of strategies the candidates should follow and understand the local issues. Sunil Kanugolu led war room is said to have focused on the Telangana polls. We have to wait and see if the strategy can repeat the Karnataka elections or not.
