KCR Struggled With Houses, Can Kavita Give Lands?

Telangana politics are starting to spice up with the upcoming assembly election campaign still a fair bit away from now. This is not going to be an easy election this time with multiple parties, including the BRS, Congress, BJP, and the TRS in active contention.

However, the discussion is about the pretty significant announcement that was made by Kavi with regard to the upcoming assembly election in the state.

Firstly, KCR, who was the former chief minister of Telangana struggled to implement the 2BHK houses promise to the population in the state. Several houses had already been constructed for the implementation of this program, but the disbursement of the same was the problem.

It became extremely tough for the KCR government to actually identify the eligible individuals and handover the houses. The need to restrict corruption and favouritism in this resulted in extreme complexity as well. Subsequently, the housing distribution program was not implemented completely.

However, the latest decision from Kavita appears to be even bigger challenge than this housing promise that was made by KCR earlier. She has publicly announced that she would be delivering 1 acre of land to each of the landless families in Telangana.

Kavi announced a particular scheme that would be implemented if the TRS gets to power in Telangana as she said, each of the eligible families would be getting an acre of land.

While the previous KCR administration was not able to complete a the housing promise, despite completing the majority of the construction, Kavita has gone another step ahead and has promised one acre of land.

It is easy to understand that the promise that was made by Kavita is much more significant that of the promise of KCR. So only time will tell Kavita would be actually successful in this endeavour.
