On a day when ex-CM and BRS boss KCR paid his first visit to the Telangana Bhavan after his massive defeat, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy administered a massive shock to the BRS. Sitting BRS MP from Peddapalli, Venkatesh, joined the Congress Party at New Delhi. This silent coup was masterminded by Revanth Reddy. If sources are to be believed, many more BRS leaders are likely to switch over.

He joined in the presence of AICC general secretary KC Venugopal. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka too were present on the occasion. This shocking development dampened the enthusiasm of the BRS camp which was celebrating KCR’s visit to Telangana Bhavan.

Sources say that two more Lok Sabha MPs and two Rajya Sabha MPs from the BRS are likely to join the Congress Party soon. What is truly shocking for the BRS and its boss KCR is that the Congress Party has maintained utmost secrecy about the whole operation. Manne Jeevan Reddy, son of the brother of Mahabubnagar MP Manne Srinivas Reddy too joined the Congress Party.

If sources are to be believed, the Congress has prepared plans to wrest a maximum number of mandal Praja Parishads, municipalities and ZPs in the state before the Lok Sabha elections. This could leave the BRS considerably weakened, sources say.
