Krystyna Pyszková from the Czech Republic won the Miss World 2024 pageant in Mumbai after a 28-year hiatus in India. Sini Shetty, Femina Miss India 2022 winner, represented India and reached the top eight. Yasmin Azaytoun, Aché Abrahams, and Lesego Chombo were also in the top four.
Nita Mukesh Ambani received the Miss World humanitarian award, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas sent a video message. Miss World Tunisia won the Talent contest, and a Vietnamese contestant triumphed in the Multi-Media Challenge.
Sini Shetty, a 22-year-old dancer from Mumbai, showcased her talent in Bharatanatyam. Notable personalities like Amruta Fadnavis, Munawar Faruqui, and others graced the event.
Karan Johar and Megan Young co-hosted, with performances by Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar, and Shaan. The judging panel included Sajid Nadiadwala, Harbhajan Singh, Rajat Sharma, and Amruta Fadnavis.
The Miss World Organisation emphasized the event's significance in celebrating beauty with a purpose. Various competitions, such as the World Top Designer Award and Miss World Sports Challenge, added excitement.
Julia Morley CBE, Chairman of Miss World, expressed anticipation for the grand return to India. The competition highlighted diversity, empowerment, and beauty, making it a spectacular event after nearly three decades.
