The Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society (KSAPS) has dismissed reports claiming 7,000 students in Karnataka are HIV-positive and that HIV testing is now compulsory in colleges.

Also, this puts an entry to the speculation that the Karnataka government has mandated HIV tests at all the colleges across the state. This is against the regulation of rules that are in place, so there is no truth that college students will have to mandatory undergo HIV tests.
