Many Indian students and professionals on F1 and H1B visas joined the rally to welcome KTR from the airport. However, reports suggest the rally caused major traffic problems and may not have had full legal permission.

Some participants are now receiving notices from U.S. immigration authorities. These notices include fingerprint requests and questions about their involvement in political or unapproved public events.
