Woman Brutally Murdered in Kukatpally Swan Lake gated community, Hyderabad

Hyderabad witnessed a shocking crime on Wednesday evening when a 50-year-old woman, Renu Agarwal was brutally murdered inside her home in Kukatpally’s Swan Lake gated community.

According to police, Renu was alone at home when the incident took place. Her husband Rakesh Agarwal and son Shubham had gone to their steel shop in Fatehnagar. Around 7 PM, when Rakesh returned home, he found the main door locked from inside. After repeated attempts to reach his wife failed, he called a plumber to open the back door. On entering the house, they were horrified to see Renu lying dead in a pool of blood in the hall.

Investigations revealed that two domestic workers were behind the gruesome murder. Roshan, who had been working in Renu’s relatives’ house for the past nine years, introduced his fellow villager Harsh from Jharkhand as a cook just 11 days ago. Police say the two tied Renu’s hands and legs with ropes and tortured her, demanding money and gold. They attacked her with knives and finally hit her on the head with a heavy kitchen grinder killing her on the spot.

After committing the crime, the accused ransacked the house, broke open the lockers and took away cash and gold packed in a suitcase. Shockingly, CCTV footage showed that the killers even took a bath inside the house, changed into fresh clothes, and left on the family’s two-wheeler.

Police teams are now searching for Roshan and Harsh. The Balanagar DCP, Kukatpally ACP, forensic experts and dog squads inspected the crime scene. Preliminary reports suggest the accused had planned the crime carefully taking advantage of Renu being alone at home.
