Here's what Lalita Dsilva spoke about her work and salary

Lalita Dsilva, who has worked as a nanny for prominent families including Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan has recently addressed rumors about her salary.

Lalita Dsilva currently working as nanny to Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan is reported to get paid ₹2.5 lakh for the job. However though she not revealed how much salary she gets, she spoke about her work.

In an interview with she mentioned that her pay had been compared to that of India's Prime Minister, which she found amusing. Dsilva, who has spent eight years caring for Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan, clarified that her demanding job involves round-the-clock care with no vacations, unlike corporate jobs with more regular hours and breaks.

Dsilva stated that while executives enjoy weekends and holidays, she is constantly on duty. She pointed out that, unlike corporate roles which have set schedules, her job requires her to be vigilant at all times, even during festivals and vacations. Her relatives had often commented on the comparison between her salary and the PM’s, which she dismissed with a laugh, wishing her salary were indeed that high.

Having previously worked for Mukesh Ambani’s family and now assisting Ram Charan and Upasana with their daughter, Klin Kaara, Dsilva believes her compensation is justified given the demanding nature of her work. She emphasized that the role of a nanny for high-profile families requires significant dedication and alertness, which, in her view, should be adequately compensated.
