The controversial Land Titling Act is officially repealed in the Assembly. The House announced that the bill was canceled with the House unanimously approving it. The alliance is in power in the state and the MLAs approved the bill.
The Land Titling Act was one of the issues the opposition used to target the YCP. TDP and Janasena were aggressive in the campaign on the issue. Chandrababu Naidu earlier said that he would scrap the controversial bill after coming to power and used this promise in the campaign.
Standing by this he signed on the file after coming to power. He did his second signature after coming to power to repeal the act. The Cabinet earlier approved the decision to repeal the Land Titling Act.
Now a major step was taken as the bill is officially scrapped. The Speaker of the House said that the Act is scrapped only for the members of the three alliance parties to approve this.
As announced earlier the parties had repealed the controversial Land Titling Act. The experts say that with this the old procedure of land registration and sales would be followed in the state.
TDP chief Chandrababu during the campaign said that if the YCP comes to power again then the lands owned by people would be in danger and they would be grabbed by Jagan and co. The Land Titling Act had dominated the campaign before the elections.
