The ruling BRS it appears is having second thoughts about indiscriminate joinings into the party. The party leadership has admitted all the disgruntled leaders from both the BJP and the Congress Party to score brawny points. However, most of the newly joined leaders are finding it difficult to adjust with the BRS leaders.

The BRS has shown a lot of interest in getting the likes of Rakesh Reddy, who was the state BJP spokesperson, into the party after they were denied a ticket by the BJP. But, these leaders like Reddy, Tula Uma and others are not going to get a party ticket even in the BRS. So, they have practically gained nothing by leaving the BJP and joining the BRS.

More importantly, these leaders are waiting for a call from the BRS leaders so that they can plunge into the campaign. However, the already existing BRS leaders are ignoring these new entrants. In places where there is some receptivity, they are finding that the cadre is finding it difficult to adjust with them during the campaign.

The BRS top leaders are now said to be having doubts as to whether joining so many leaders into the party has any merit at all. In most places, there is groupism between the new entrants and the old timers. As a result, the new entrants have not joined the party campaign in most places. They are just sitting on the fence and are watching the campaign unfold. Some leaders are said to have established some kind of connect with some Congress leaders already. As a result, the BRS is unable to trust them.
