The aspirants try hard to get tickets from the winning party. Those who don't get tickets from their parties also do the same. Tickets will be the main criteria for the leaders.
We have to talk about YSRCP especially here. It is known that the YSRCP announced candidates for all the constituencies in the state and there are no more vacancies. However, the party is still seeing a big inflow of leaders. Leaders who are joining the party are not concerned about tickets. They might have felt that it would be good to walk with a leader who has credibility. SC, ST, BC and Minorities getting preference in all matters might also be a reason.
YS Jagan is going strong as a leader like no one else did. He recorded a landslide victory in 2019. In a first of its kind, Jagan is going into the people highlighting the promises and asking them to vote for him if they were benefitted. Many say that this is the confidence the good work gave to Jagan.
SC, ST, BC, and Minorities were made a part of power by allotting 50 percent of tickets for them. As part of the election campaign for the upcoming elections Bus Yatra named Memantha Siddham was started. One day before the yatra, the CM Camp Office saw good footfalls. Leaders from eight constituencies joined the YCP in front of Jagan in one day.
On Tuesday alone, leaders from eight constituencies met CM Jagan and donned YCP shawls in the presence of Jagan. After joining the party they made a promise to work hard for YCP’s win. They expressed confidence in YCP coming to power again.
Leaders from Payakaraopeta,Visakhapatnam,Eluru,Nuziveedu,Vijayawada,Venkatagiri,Rajampet and Sullurupeta joined the YCP.
These Are The Leaders Who Joined The YCP:
Former Nuzividu MLA Chinnam Ramakotaiah, his son Chinnam Chaitanya

TDP Eluru Parliament In-charge Gorumutchu Gopal Yadav
Sullurupeta Senior TDP Leader Venati Ramachandra Reddy

Jai Bharat National Party Former Chief Gorakapudi Chinnayyadora
Few senior leaders in Visakhapatnam including G.V. Ravi Raju(Senior leader), Boggu Srinivas, and Boddeti Anuradha(Janasena leader).
Former Corporators, Janasena leaders including Bathina Ramu(Janasena Party Vijayawada East in-charge), Ganduri Mahesh, Nandepu Jagadeesh(Ex-Corporators) Kokkiligadda Devamani(former Co-option member), Kosuru Subramanyam( TDP State BC Cell Secretary) Gorantla Srinivasa Rao( Former Division President).
While a few say that YCP became strong in these constituencies, few others say that it is game over for the opponents in these constituencies.
It is known that CM Jagan started the Memantha Siddham bus yatra. As part of this, the yatra would last 21 days starting from Idupulapaya to Ichchapuram. It is said that leaders from these constituencies might also join the party.
