Rinson Jose, a 37-year-old entrepreneur originally from Wayanad, Kerala, has been linked to the tragic pager explosions in Lebanon that claimed the lives of at least 12 individuals, including innocent civilians. The blasts occurred amid escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon over the ongoing Palestine conflict, and they are reportedly connected to Hezbollah fighters.

Now a Norwegian citizen, Jose is the owner of Norta Global Ltd., a company registered in Bulgaria that is suspected of facilitating the sale of the pagers involved in these deadly incidents. The connection between Jose and the explosions has drawn significant attention from international security agencies, including Bulgaria’s State Agency for National Security (DANS), which is actively investigating the company’s potential involvement.

Despite the serious allegations against him, preliminary investigations have not uncovered any evidence linking Norta Global to illegal transactions or violations of terrorism financing laws. While approximately 1.6 million euros have been associated with Norta Global, there have been no recorded shipments of pagers passing through Bulgaria. This has led to speculation that Norta Global may function as a shell company for Rinson’s IT consulting firm, NortaLink, based in Norway.

As authorities continue their investigation, the case highlights growing concerns regarding international security and the potential misuse of legitimate businesses for illicit activities. The situation remains fluid as more information emerges about Rinson Jose and his company's operations in relation to the tragic events in Lebanon.
