Janasena and Bharatiya Janata Party are in alliance officially. The alliance was announced in Andhra Pradesh. However, the recent Telangana elections saw both parties working together. Janasena contested eight seats and supported the BJP in the elections. As we are done with the general elections, the focus is now on the Lok Sabha.

The parties are working hard on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The BJP which could not perform as per the expectations is also putting serious efforts to expand its reach in the elections.

Ahead of the elections, Telangana BJP Chief Kishan Reddy made some critical comments. He said that the BJP and Janasena would not join hands for the Lok Sabha elections and BJP would go alone. Kishan Reddy said that BJP will contest the 17 Parliament seats in the state alone without any alliance.

However, he said that Janasena is part of the NDA alliance and observed that no call was taken about the alliance with Janasena in Andhra Pradesh.

While the state chief did not reveal the reasons many say that the performance in recent elections might be the reason. Despite joining hands the parties could not show any impact in the elections. Janasena lost all the seats it contested and its support did not help the BJP in any manner.

Before the elections, the BJP made big claims that it would come to power. But the reality was different. Joining hands with Janasena did not make any difference. Moreover, the BJP is adamant about winning the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and scoring a hattrick of wins.

The party wants to expand its wings in the Southern states as well. Telangana is one of the states where it is strong. So the party doesn't want to take any risk by joining hands with others. This might be a big reason behind this.
